Vishwakarma Yojana Eligibility

• To be eligible for registration under PM Vishwakarma, an artisan or craftsperson must be using their hands and tools and working in one of the 18 unorganized sector family-based traditional trades included in the scheme on a self-employment basis.
• The beneficiary must be at least 18 years old on the registration date.
• The beneficiary must be actively engaged in the relevant trade on the date of registration and must not have benefited from loans under similar credit-based programs of the federal or state governments for the growth of their own businesses, such as PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, or Mudra, in the previous five years.
• Only one family member may register for and receive benefits under the Scheme. A “family” for purposes of receiving benefits under the Scheme is defined as the husband, wife, and unmarried children.
• Employees of the government and their families are not eligible for the Scheme.

Garland Maker (Malakaar): Garland makers, often referred to as “Malakaars,” create decorative garlands by stringing together various flowers, leaves, and sometimes other decorative elements like beads or ribbons.
