Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Scheme (Kalaignar Scheme for Right of Women), launched by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the late C N Annadurai, a Dravidian icon, This is the flagship financial assistance scheme of the DMK government.

The launch took place in Kancheepuram, which is the hometown of Annadurai, the founder of DMK, who led Tamil Nadu’s first non-Congress government in independent India in 1967. The DMK government has identified 1.06 crore women (1,06,50,000) as beneficiaries under the scheme, and the financial assistance of Rs 1,000 is disbursed to the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer.

The scheme will provide approximately one thousand rupees per month to approximately one crore women who are heads of families. This historic scheme, the “Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam Scheme,” has been formulated. 1. Visit the Nearest Fair Price Shop/Ration Shop: Eligible women beneficiaries should visit the nearest Fair Price Shop or Ration Shop in their area to initiate the registration process.
2. Obtain and Fill Application Registration Forms: At the Fair Price Shop or Ration Shop, volunteers will provide women beneficiaries with the necessary Application Registration Forms for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam Scheme.
