- The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will comprise a single objective-type paper consisting of 100 questions, carrying a total of 100 marks. The allotted time for the Online Computer-Based Test is one and a half hours (90 minutes).
- For each incorrect answer, a negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied.
- The question paper will be designed at the Matriculation Level and will have the following distribution: Easy Questions – 30%, Medium-Level Questions – 50%, and Difficult Questions – 20%.
- To be eligible for shortlisting candidates category-wise for the Physical Test, the following marks criteria apply: General Category candidates must secure a minimum of 35% marks, SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates must secure at least 30% marks, and Ex-servicemen must secure a minimum of 25% marks in aggregate in the Computer-Based Examination.

This section aims to assess the candidate’s general awareness, including knowledge of current events and everyday observations from a scientific perspective, as expected of any educated individual. These questions are designed not to require specialized study in any particular discipline.
Reasoning:
This component evaluates analytical aptitude and the ability to recognize and differentiate patterns, primarily through non-verbal questions. It may include inquiries related to analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observations, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, among others.
Numerical Ability:
This section covers questions on topics such as Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and the relationship between numbers. It also includes questions on Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, and more.
